“Nice to hear from you Andy! I absolutely agree that any large lunar colony will have to run on nuclear power. However, a first lunar settlement akin to the ISS would presumably host only a few dozen people, which the article revolves around.

For a small colony like this, solar energy is an abundant resource in the regions of eternal light. It also helps that the permashadow regions are close-by for water supply. So hopefully these resources provide our first steps in what ultimately leads to a permanent settlement on the Moon. How long do you think before we can have a city like Artemis up there? :D”
